this is one sick movie..about a psychopath with an innocent appearance and a twisted mind..he gets obsessed with a girl and starts to film her everywhere she goes..he installs hidden cameras all over her apartment and we only get to see what he is filming..I didn't like this though..a movie like this could be very creepy but not this one, it's kind of boring with not that great acting..![]()
Intriguing but over the top little independent flick.I was stunned with the sole candid camera preference of showing the events but afterward it's tiring and..suddenly..where you expect the utter climax,it's just monotonous in the set-up of things.Remarkable acting by Talancon and some great ideas though in this chilling (thanks to the obsessive psycho) tale of physical/mental abuse.
If Ana Claudia Talancón weren't so agreeable in every way this would be a zero. Script must have been written by a 3rd grader, stupid bad. Not scary or creepy. Hanks was nice when he was offscreen only.
Worst movie i have seen all year! Just waiting for somthing to happen the whole time and it never did!
another first person shot, using camcorders and hidden cameras, as colin hanks is a strange young man who after picking a victim played by alex boling, sets up hidden cameras in her house, and through knowledge of her, gets to know her, but with first inpressions looking good, he has to work a bit harder to get her afections, interesting use of shots, of victim at work and home, but also hanks as he films himself, and a film bringing up issues with todays society, and the perfectly legal business of home survelence and spy products on offer, all performances are good to watch, and style never gets boring, a interesting look at the crazy world of today
Shot entirely using body cams and spy cams, the movie attempts to explore the horror of the increase in stalking due to the advances in and availability of technology. The movie begins with a stalker, played by Colin Hanks, filming women at the beach and at the park, obviously searching for a victim. He chooses a girl, played by Ana Claudia Talancón, and begins following her, planting cameras in her apartment and slowly inserting himself into her life, using the knowledge he gained from the cameras to find common ground. I could see what the writer/director was trying to accomplish, but it was not entertaining enough to hold my interest without taking breaks. The acting was mostly convincing, although there were some spells of poor acting. The ending seemed very film-school and amateur.
This movie gives a clear picture of how invasive voyeurism can be. It is intrusive and ought to carry extreme jail sentences when perpetrators are caught.
Not a good movie, it made me really paranoid and my boyfriend won't let me out alone anymore. It could have been a great story but the beginning is really boring, just filming, no dialogues, and the acting kind of sucks, specially Ana Claudia Talancon's, I usually love her because she's from my hometown (Cancun), but the way she talked sounded extremely fake. It does freak you out though, it makes you think twice before talking to a stranger
a view from the obsessed. plays around the idea of bumping into the girl for small talk. could have taken off the all spy junk night after 'reward' and then be with her. the sense of voyeurism/fantasy
This movie was cheesy. Being shot through the "eye" of the stalker wasn't my cup of tea. This movie had potential to be great but lacked any suspense & mystery.
A very slow starting movie but the ending is very intense. This guy stalks her by putting hidden cams all over her apartment. He freaks at the end and kills her.
In honor a Halloween we decided to watch a creepy fillm. And Alone With Her is certainly creepy.
What works for it is that almost the entire film is shit from what the camera sees, often times was Hanks' character is watching by video.
It's creepy because stalking and spying with cams actually happens. And the characters are believable, especially Hanks (who looks so much like his father). The female lead does a good job as well.
Watch with the lights out!
Not really sure what to say about this one. Sure the story is nothing new, a creepy dude stalks a some what lonely chick. But what sets this one aside from the rest is the way in which it was filmed. We see this entirely from the point of view of the stalker, from his hidden cameras, as he watches her. Not just in sections, for the entire film, whether the camera be one he's hidden in a bag, one he has hidden on him, or the numerous cameras he has hidden around her victims apartment. It is actually quite disturbing watching it, you really feel like you are invading someone's privacy, its really creepy. You really get to know the victim, and you feel for her and you just know things are going to keep getting worse. You see as the stalker (Played pretty darn chilling by Colin Hanks) slowly gets himself into her life, he toys with her life, twisting things around so he can come to her rescue, which leads her to start to fall for him. You really feel scared her for (Played to perfection by Ana Claudia Talancon), and it is really hard to actually watch. It isn't a long running film, the way it is presented I don't think it can be. This is really hard to watch, I'd have a hard time recommending this too. I think the way it was done, made it all too real. Our two leads put in some convincing performances which made it seem all the more real. This is a good movie that I don't think I'd be able to watch again.
this movie isn't for everyone. you have to like the really slow suspences. Overall, it is a good little movie.
this film never really got started. the film is like 1hour 20mins and the first hour is painfully slow. and during that first hour the script it bad. the acting is so bad but the dialog is poor. Ana Claudia Talancón is hot really gorgeous which makes up for the poor dialog. i like how the film is recorded very cool, reminded me of blair with project but in a more freaky and more perverse way and with more cameras obviously. but besides that theres not much else to the film and not much else you could take away which you've enjoyed.
slow until the last 15 minutes. the whole movie is shown through home videos and spy cams. good acting. not so good movie.
Decent, slow burn, creepy stalker flick. Probably scarier for females than males, the way it tells the story through hidden cameras (planted by the stalker) is reminiscent of My Little Eye. Plus, there's a couple shots where Colin Hanks looks the spittin' image of his daddy.
Original and quite creepy to think that something like this could happen. Colin Hanks does an excellent job. Highly recommended for someone looking for a thriller that has something different and unique to offer.
this thing is creppy as hell... unfortunately its a very real problem
the movie is narated and view from the stalkers perception, what makes it more creepy
but..... i expected more from the movie
it was kind of slow
if it had been more fast pace and more action it would had been great
BORING MOVIE! COULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT MOVIE, ACTING IS STIFF & AMATUER. AND HAS NO REAL SUSPENSE OR EXCITEMENT TO IT! THANKFULLY IS A SHORT MOVIE!
colin hanks was convincing. it was original, which was nice. it would have felt more real minus a few details. the alternate ending is crap.
I have this movie but i havent seen it yet cause my dvd is broking but as far as the trailer shows me about the movie.. its going to a scary ride
Jeez, I just got done watching this movie, it was creepy as hell, Colin Hanks goes from his usual good guy roles like Orange County, Roswell, Get Over It, Whatever It Takes, and King Kong and he does a complete 180 and nails the mark of an obsessed, creep trying to get with a girl he has been filming secretly with cameras he has hidden in her house. Hanks did a great job and so did Ana Claudia Talancon. She was a good looking girl. The ending was nothing I was expecting, and that's what made it great.
im not really alone too much its just i get scared, being the only room on the second floor of my house. its a little bit wierd when you hear this random ding ding ding or mabey a mmmeeoooww! from you cat
