Deathly original, pissingly funny and endlessly rewatchable, 'Shrek' is probably the best film of its kind, which people sadly seem to have forgotten...

I have all 3 Shrek movies. The story is super; maybe a kids movie but most of the lines go way over the kids heads so we older folks sure get a kick out of it!!

Instant classic in the tradition of Warner Bros old Looney Tunes shorts- Made for adults but kids love it too! Sad that Shrek the Turd forgot Shrek's smart, witty roots.

I just watched it today FOR THE VERY 1st TIME! LoL. But hey, I love it! It's so hilarious. Donkey rocks! Hahaha. The animation is great as well. And I love the character of Shrek. He's just so cool.
Watching the movie, I don't mind it won the Oscar, beating Monster Inc. cause it really deserves the winning. -

an animation that supercedes society's views of morals and takes them to a time when fairy tales were the epitome of such morals, very well written with surprisingly good dialogue, a treasure for all to watch

Shrek is such a good movie, i I love the donkey guy and i love shrek!, i was never bored when i wached it. The donkey guy is really funny and cute. I also like the cat guy, he is also really cute! I recon that Fiona is really cool.

Shrek is a big ogre who lives alone in the woods, feared from all the people in the land of Duloc. When Lord Farquaad, the ruler of Duloc, exiles all the fairy-tale beings in the woods, Shrek looses his peaceful life and his home becomes a refugees camp. So, he sets to find Lord Farquaad and convince him to take the fairy-tale beings back where they belong, and leave him alone. Lord Farquaad accepts, under one condition. Shrek must first go and find the beautiful young princess Fiona, who will become Farquaad's bride. So, the big Ogre begins his quest, along with his newfound donkey friend. . . . .

The movie that started the whole Shrek era. With Mike myers and Eddie Murphy in one movie with a giant green ogre there's no doubt about the comedy.
